Dr. Robert Bruckman received his M.D. from State University of New York and served is residency in orthopedic surgery at Mount Sinai Hospital and University in New York. His surgery residency and internship was served at Kings County Hospital, State University of New York. In addition to his 24-year orthopedic practice in Marin County, he taught at Mount Sinai Medical Center and University of California, San Francisco (Shriner’s Hospital Unit) and held the rank of major as the staff orthopedic surgeon at David Grant USAF Hospital at Travis AFB in Fairfield. Dr. Bruckman is well known for his work in the Workers’ Compensation field, and has written extensively on the subject, including guidelines for Workers’ Compensation that are widely used in English-speaking countries. He is also a consultant and analyst on Workers’ Compensation issues for a number of hospitals and health care systems in the U.S. and Canada. Dr. Bruckman is currently a board member of the California Society of Industrial Medicine and Surgery.
