Dr. Taylor received his B.S. from Morehouse College, Atlanta, GA, and his M.D. from Meharry Medical College, Nashville, TN. He then spent two years in internship/residency in General Surgery Training at Highland Hospital prior to completing an Orthopaedic Surgery Residency at (MLK) Los Angeles County Hospital. He began private practice in Oakland in 1991. Since that time he has risen to the level of Department Chairman of Surgery/Chief of Orthopaedic Surgery and Medical Staff Board Member/Surgery Representative for Credentials and Peer Review at the Alta Bates campus of Alta Bates-Summit Medical Center. He also has served as Vice-Chairman Orthopaedics and Peer Review for the Summit Campus of Alta Bates-Summit Medical Center. He has established himself as an integral part of the Trauma-ER unit at local hospitals and is well-versed in Workers’ Compensation care, treatment and evaluation.
