Frederic R. Labbe, M.D. 1938-2011

Dr. Labbe passed away in early September 2011 following an accident in his native Guatemala. He will be remembered for his gentle manner and humor.

His obituary appeared in the Santa Rosa Press Democrat on Sept. 21, 2011.

He received his M. D. from the University of San Carlos, School of Medicine in Guatemala. He did his residency training for Orthopedic Surgery at St. Mary’s Hospital in San Francisco. He was a diplomate of the American Board of Orthopedic Surgeons with an expertise in spine and hand injuries, arthroscopic surgery, total joint replacement and sports medicine. He had served in the Workers’ Compensation field since 1992. He is bilingual in English and Spanish.
Dr. Labbe and his wife Louanne lived in the North Bay and have three children and two grandchildren, all boys. His interests include wine making and classic car restoration.

He will be greatly missed.
